Gokyo Trekking -12 Days
Gokyo, a hidden valley with few glacier lakes and Everest Base camp has own meaning for adventurous peoples. This is one of the popular and adventurous treks at higher places of Khumbu valley. This package has been specially designed for travelers who are eager to experience the magnificence of the Everest range, without wanting too much mental and physical stress. This trek begins with a dramatic scenic flight to Lukla and the trail follows many farm villages with beautiful views of the high snow capped peaks of the world. This trek features the unbelievable scenery of the remote Gokyo Valley and its festival of beautiful turquoise lakes, moonscape-like glaciers, and stunning mountain vistas that include Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Makalu (8463m), and Cho Oyu (8,188m) four of the eight highest peaks on earth! The 360-degree panoramic view from Gokyo Ridge is the best in the Khumbu region. This trek winds, climbs and descends its way through lush low land and alpine forest, Buddhist monasteries and authentic Sherpa Villages with the opportunity to explore the lifestyle of the Himalayan people, their religion, customs and traditions. Day 02Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Day 03 Rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
Day 04 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200m)
Day 05 Trek from Dole to Machchhermo (4470m)
Day 06 Trek from Machchhermo to Gokyo (4970m)
Day 07 Rest and Excursion day around Gokyo Valley
Day 08 Hike up to Gokyo Ri (5360m) and back to Machchhermo (4470m)
Day 09 Trek back from Machchhermo to Khumjung (3780m)
Day 10 Trek back from Khumjung to Phakding (2610m)
Day 11 Trek back from Phakding to Lukla (2840m)
Day 12 Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Trip Cost Includes
