Tamang Heritage Trekking - 12 Days
The Lang tang valley is called “the valley of the glaciers". This is a superb introduction to trekking in Nepal among some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole country, with rich Tamang culture. The valleys offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs with daises. In March and April the Rhododendron forests have species of trees, birds and butterflies. The views of the Himalayan snow capped mountains will be unforgettable. This area is connected to Tibet and the trails in this region were used by traders from Tibet bartering in Salt. Developed by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program, the "Tamang Heritage Trail" is the newly developed tourism product, off the beaten track, which highlights an ancient lifestyle combining it with picturesque scenery and healing baths in natural hot spring. Tamang rituals, Tibetan culture, festivals, traditional architecture, costumes, local Syabru dances make the exposure to this culture very unique. The culture is virtually untouched. Visitors will get an opportunity to observe Syabru, Mane and other local dances at Goljung and Gatlang VDCs. You can enjoy hot bath in the healing hot-water spring at Tatopani before reaching Nagthali, where the stay is a unique experience. The ancient monasteries and houses adorned with rich wood engravings at Thuman is an unforgettable experience.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1450m)
Day 02: Trek from Syabru Bensi to Gatlang (2240m)
Day 03:Day 04: Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (3300m)
Day 05: Trek from Thuman to Briddim (3900m)
Day 06: Trek from Briddim to Lama Hotel (2480m)
Day 07: Trek from Lama Hotel to Lang tang (3541m)
Day 08: Trek from Langton to Kyanjin Gompa (3900m)
Day 09: Rest at Kyanjin Gompa and hike to Lang Sisa Kharka
Day 10: Trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2480m)
Day 11: Trek back from Lama Hotel to Syabru Bensi (1450m)
Day 12: Drive back from Syabru Bensi to Kathmandu
Trip Cost Includes
